The Office of Donor Engagement and Stewardship (DES) enhances the lifelong relationships between donors and Skidmore College through meaningful, personalized recognition of their support.
Our work is a collaborative effort with multiple campus partners, including students and faculty who are direct beneficiaries of donor support. We are especially grateful to our partners, and we feel privileged to share their remarkable stories with donors.
A brief summary of our work includes:
- Impact reports: We show how gifts to a specific area or endowed fund make a difference in the lives of students and faculty by working with them to tell their stories.
- Endowed fund reports: We produce annual reports on the performance of Skidmore’s endowment and a donor’s specific endowed fund.
- Engagement and stewardship events: We host small, in-person or virtual gatherings meant to connect donors with key campus partners, including students, faculty, fellow donors, Cabinet, and the President.
- Naming opportunities: We work with our staff on special projects that have naming opportunities, and we manage the production and installation of plaques and donor walls.
